The 83rd Annual Academy Awards...Kelly G Style!

On the most important night in Hollywood, my internet decides to crap out for an hour... Of course, after my nerd-like qualities kicked in and fixed the issue, I'm back! And Wow! I'm in awe!

83 years of Oscar. My grandmother was born in 1929, I can't even begin to think what it's like to have been around for that long, plus to be around to witness all the great movies over that amount of time. Here goes nothing... Happy Academy Awards Night!

The Opening
James Franco and Anne Hathaway did a wonderful job with the opening video, they were pretty funny, and I think Anne Hathaway has completely beaten out James in the funny, beautiful and outgoing qualities! What a girl. I mean, if I liked girls, she'd be exactly like Justin Timberlake is to me right now. AMAZING, SEXY, HOT, TALENTED aka I want him. But... I like boys and Justin Timberlake will always be my celeb wanna-do (n. a celebrity that you want to sleep with, an exception to the rule, you can sleep with him/her without getting in trouble with your significant other, or just a celeb you want to do, if you're single)
Anne Hathaway looks stunning in her white dress, James Franco could use a little hair job, he looks a little messy. But Messy is hot these days right? Is there a possibility that he's high right now? Cuz I'm pretty sure his eyes are showing it, he only opens them when he's talking lol

Kirk Douglas gave away the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and holy moly, he was hilarious. What a funny old man. He was funny, endearing, and he looked like he would have stayed up there all night if he wanted to. He even went on to say that he would never forget that moment. He asked why Anne Hathaway wasn't around when he was making pictures, cuz she is gorgeous, she blushed! It was a really cute moment. He was about to open the envelope for best supporting actress and stopped with a "Ya know?"... TWICE haha it had the crowd laughing and the women up for the award antsy!

Melissa Leo from THE FIGHTER won best supporting actress and yes, like any classy fighter lady, she dropped the F BOMB while accepting her award. In that moment, I fell in love. p.s. I want her dress! Congrats Melissa! (I picked Amy Adams to win for this, at least I got the movie part right)

One of my favorite moments of the night... you may think it's lame but I'm sooooo gonna talk about it.
HOW HOT DID JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE LOOK?!?!?!?!?! Ahhhhhh when he walked out on stage, I got 4 text messages from girlfriends saying "There's your man!" Yeah, I'm kinda obsessed and I make sure everyone knows. So shoot me. Well, Justin came out on stage to give out the Best Animated short and feature film award with Mila Kunis and I'm kinda upset at how great they look together. Jessica Biel better watch out. Mila and Justin look like a pretty hot couple, and Jessica, I'll help you take her down if you need me to. But I might end up hurting you as well ;-) maybe all those rumors of them hooking up are true!

And yes, Toy Story 3 won for Best Animated Feature Film :-) YAY PIXAR!... p.s. I didn't know that Steve Jobs was part of Pixar. That man just does it all now doesn't he?

James Franco came out in a red dress after Anne's awesome singing performance about how Hugh Jackman wouldn't perform with her, that girl can SING! anyway, in his red dress, hair, lipstick, heels, he made a Charlie Sheen joke!  "Weird part is I just got a text message from Charlie Sheen!" Wow. He makes an ugly chick, but I'm sure Charlie would be game as long as he's toasted right? Wait, that's all the time!

Russell Brand is annoying but god do I love him. He's pretty freaking hilarious, Katy, I'll borrow him anytime you need a break, I imagine you do!! He gave away the Best foreign language film award with Helen Miren!

Best Supporting Actor was given out by Reese Witherspoon. She looked great!
YES I WAS RIGHT!!!!! Christian Bale won BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR! I get one point! Wait, he needs to get rid of that beard, but hey british accent... I'm in love :-) He was the second to drop a joke about Melissa who "dropped the F bomb" during her acceptance speech!

I'm not gonna lie, there is a part of the Oscars that just bores me. The part with the guys who they thanked for being super smart and intelligent in cinematography, and then of course, stoned James Franco said "Thanks nerds!" what? really? that happened! Anyway, this part is boring to me too James Franco but I'm not going to call these men and women who make our movies, nerds. Can we just get to Best Actress and Best Actor? Oh and then finish it up with a great Best Picture Award! K thanks :-)

Best Costume Design, that's kinda interesting. Alice and Wonderland won for best costume design and I couldn't agree more, that movie had more funky and fun prints than the pillow aisle at World Market! Congrats Alice and Wonderland, you're taking them home tonight!

I've missed Mandy Moore and she did a great job singing for her song in "Tangled." Her dress was beautiful, she looks great in that sapphire blue with her long brown hair off to the side. That was a good moment! :-)

Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams came out to present the Best Short Film. I have to say, Jake looked great, Amy, not so much. I'm not loving her glitter blue dress and diamond studded necklace, it was a little too much and she looked a lot older than she really is... Not a fan. Moving on.

Oprah Winfrey, one of my favorite women of all time, came out to present the award for Best Documentary of the Year. How is it that someone can be that much more famous than these amazing actors and actresses? I just started thinking, who doesn't know who Oprah is? And, is it possible that most of the actors and actresses in the audience get more starstuck and excited to see her when she comes out on stage than they would if it was a fellow actor? Maybe they just want to be on her show to promote themselves and their movies and they get excited and want her to know they love her? Ahhhh I got ahead of myself. Either way, I don't care. She's awesome and I would love to meet her one day, she amazes me on how she got to where she is today :-)

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law... Hey now, white tie and white bow tie. Jude Law needs to stop licking his lips... that's just weird, that's the 5th, no wait, 7th time he's done it so far, oh wait, there he goes again... I'll stop :-)

Absolutely IN LOVE with Anne's red dress! It's stunning! Best dress of the night, SO FAR ;-)

Meanwhile, on the red carpet, some leading ladies wore red tonight... who wore it best? I gotta stick with Anne Hathaway, however, I think the red dress she wore on the show, was much hotter!

Gwenyth Paltrow just needs to give up... please, for the sake of music? Pretty please? She just looks like she's trying too hard, or trying out for American Idol, one of the two right? I'm disappointed in the people who are telling her she's good enough to do this stuff. I'm not a fan of her musically. The End.

Ahhhhhh the Oscar greats who we lost this past year. Always a tear-jerker. I'll skip my commentary and just take it all in.

"listen to your mother" had to add that one from the best director acceptance speech. Go King's Speech!

The BEST PICTURE: KING'S SPEECH!
I wanted Social Network to win, but I'm completely fine with this. This movie deserved it! Congrats to the King's Speech!

I'm Kelly G and that's your Oscars Run-Down! If you want to add anything just comment below :-)

Charlie Sheen... let me solve this!

I have an idea for Charlie Sheen. Since he seemed to think it was appropriate to blast the creator of Two & A Half Men on the radio this past week, which put production of the show on hold for the rest of the season. What about the people who work for the show? Does he feel bad about putting them out of work for the rest of the season? Of course he doesn't... he's too busy being cracked out! But, I want to submit my thoughts on this situation...

So Charlie... let's have a chat... I have an idea!

I think a Reality TV show needs to be started with you in rehab and no I don't mean you on an tropical island hanging out with hookers, I don't mean rehab in your house, I mean serious FOR REAL REHAB... and I think the entire cast and crew of 2 and a half men, needs to work on the show. This way they earn their keep and get to see you suffer just a bit after what you've put them through. Clean up your act you crazy ass! That's all I have to say about that!

Sincerely,
Kelly G

Facebook Changed My Life!

Facebook Changed My Life... in a BIG way!

I used to think Facebook only stirred drama and it was only good for "cyber-stalking" or as I like to call it, "browsing." I've had my fair share of Facebook drama, I think everyone has, from someone quoting something you've said on someone's wall and creating problems out of it, to relationship drama, girl drama, even as far as to say that it's created ridiculous rumors! Well, I now know that Facebook can be used for good, and it's a great way to reach after your dreams... And, That's what I did!

Thank you Mark Zuckerberg and thank you for creating the pages app so that I could send my dream out to my friends/family/loved ones and those who support me!

Here's My Facebook Story:
I was driving to work one day when I heard that a girl on 2 girls and a guy (the young party girl) was leaving the show to go up to DC for a new promotion on another station, immediately, I said to myself, I WANT THAT JOB! AND I'M GONNA FIGURE OUT A WAY TO GET IT! I was seriously unhappy in the job that I was working at the time, stuck behind a computer, answering the phone, designing things that just weren't "ME." I wanted a job where I could be me and love it and talk and share my interests and joys with people. EXACTLY what this new job could do for me!

I jumped on FACEBOOK the day after the big announcement (I didn't want to jump into the seat too fast, gotta give the old girl a chance to get through the excitement of leaving and moving forward with her career). I created a fan page called Two girls and a guy Need Kelly G! I've been called Kelly G all my life, Gukanovich is just too much of a mouthful and well, Kelly G has a good ring to it :-)
Right away I started adding videos of me as a young Charleston socialite, pictures of me and my girlfriends, uploaded videos of me talking so that Mike and Tanya could hear what I had to offer. Everyday my fans grew and grew, I went from 80 fans to 500 fans in the next few weeks. A few days later after I made the page and the excitement of people noticing my page started to happen, there I was... sitting at my computer, and I got a notification... A notification that changed my "dream" into somewhat of a reality... "MIKE THEGUY HAS COMMENTED ON YOUR STATUS" AHHHHHH He told me how he loved the initiative and wanted to meet me soon. Then the next thing I knew, I was scheduled for an audition... The rest is history!

Now, here I am... Kelly G on 2 girls and a guy in the morning on 95sx Hit Music Now!
Kelly G 2GG on Facebook

Facebook Changed My Life and I have Mark Zuckerberg and his crazy dreams to thank. One dream makes so many more... Thank you! I'm the happiest I've ever been!

In Facebook we trust ;-)

HOLD UP! It's National Margarita Day?

TIME TO CELEBRATE!
Change all of your plans. Time to celebrate this glorious day known
as National Margarita Day : February 22nd, 2011!

Let me take a moment to thank this wonderful drink...
•You've gotten me through some amazing times with my girlfriends
•You've given me blush on my cheeks when I've needed a little "red"
•You've been there for the fun times, but you've brought some bad times (day after)
•You go hand in hand with chips and salsa
•Your glass that you come in is absolutely fabulous
•You give me the courage to say what I want, sometimes this is a bad thing
•Salt around a rim? YES PLEASE
•You taste amazing...

Here's to you Margarita! May February 22nd never be the same!

A little Margarita History:
There are dozens of people who claim to be the creator of the first margarita drink. One of whom is a bartender named Willie from Mexico City. He says that in 1934 he concocted the drink for his friend, Marguerite Hemery (whom he named the drink after).

Salvador Negrete is another man who claims to be the inventor of margaritas. The day before his brother's marriage in 1936, Salvador presented the margarita cocktail as a wedding present to Margarita (his sister-in-law). There are various other stories of the drink's invention, but the true identity of the tequila master remains unknown.

"Party Girl" History and More!

I want to introduce y'all to the party side of Kelly G. How do I like to have a good time and with who, where, etc. Here's how I started, High School into college into after graduation.

High School - Ahhhhh I hated HIGH SCHOOL! HATED IT! It was horrible. I was so ready to move on and move away for college. I didn't go to parties, when I did try, I wasn't very good at lying about where I was. I am the oldest of 3 so I was very over protected, but it was completely out of love and I totally get it. Every oldest kid is over protected and that's just life. The middle and youngest of the kids always gets away with murder. I however, DID NOT! So... off to college I went!

College - I went to Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. A ways away from Annapolis, MD! My first week there I went to so many frat parties and parties with girlfriends... I LOVED IT! I loved being out and having my freedom. Well, like Mike said, there's a time for everything. I soon became a girl who could drink the boys under the table, I was a beer pong ringer, flip cup was my forte, and the boys used to make bets that I could beat others at shotgunning a beer. Oh goodness. Needless to say, all the beer sent me into the freshman 25. But I was fine with it, cuz I was having a blast with my friends and I was meeting life long groups. I joined a sorority, met girls just like me who were outgoing, caring, fun and knew how to have a good time. I met boys, kissed boys, had "sleep-overs" and always had a good story the next day. All while keeping a good reputation of course :-) College was the start of my party girl ways and it plays a big part in who I am today! The party girl on 95SX!

After College - I worked all over the place, graphic designer, waitress, marketing assistant, etc. I had 2 major relationships, but had fun relationships in between. Not to say that the major relationships weren't fun! I went to Happy Hours to meet people, I met some of my best girlfriends, I had a great time in Annapolis and then moved back down to Charleston. Charleston is my kind of town. Beach, Downtown, city life, small town life, they've got it all! This town is great for meeting people, there are so many options for happy hour, so many options for good food, and it's definitely a going out town!

Things I LOVE!
Beach Days at Folly, cold beer in my hand, bocci ball, music, cornhole... Nothing makes me happier, maybe a rum drink from Blu while I'm sitting out there too! haha

Sushi dates with my girls! Bushido, Zen, Oku, there are so many great sushi places in town and that makes me sooooooo happy!

A good Sports Bar like Wild Wing Cafe to sit, drink a beer and watch my teams play and WIN! Go Steelers, Go Orioles, Let's go Caps!

Riverdogs Thirsty Thursdays!
Cheap beers, baseball, sunshine, pickle-dogs and good music! Nothing better!

Bars with games! LOVE LOVE LOVE playing POOL, shooting DARTS, shuffleboard, bowling and yes, I LOVE Lucky Strike Bowling video games too, just try to play me, I'll beat you down!

Happy Hour - my kind of hour, 1/2 off drinks, 1/2 off food, good times with friends, what are your favorite Happy Hour spots? I love going to Taco Boy downtown, heading down to Blu on Folly during the summer is really fun too!

BACKYARD hang outs... Grilling out with a cold beer, playing cornhole and just spending time with my friends is my way to spend those hot summer afternoons when everyone just wants to relax together and have some fun times!

CONCERTS! I LOVE CONCERTS! Pop, Rock, Country, I love it all!

Well, that's a little more about me, Kelly G, the party girl!

Kelly G : All things Grammy's!

Tonight is the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards

And I've been amazed so far. Absolutely in awe. Christina redeemed herself tonight. She gave me goosebumps! And JENNIFER HUDSON... HOLY WOW! Have you seen her? She looks amazing, but her voice, is soooooooooo stinkin' AMAZING! Aretha Franklin watch out. She's gonna be the next DIVA, WITHOUT A DOUBT!
Jennifer Hudson Weight Watchers!
She knows what's up...

So how about that Lady Gaga Performance? I thought she was going to do more crazy stuff, but I guess being in an egg for the entire first part of the grammy's was kinda crazy. I was expecting like Cher to pop out, or dare I say it... Madonna singing Express yourself! teehee! Either way, her new song is hot and it's going to be in all of the clubs and I will be shaking my booty to it on the dance floor!

On to more things that caught my eye...
How about that Bieber performance with Usher and Jayden Smith? WHAT?! That was amazing. I had goosebumps when they showed the video of Justin singing to Biebs 4 years ago. I'm not gonna lie, I may have teared up a little bit. He's just too cute! And when he started doing the Usher Moonwalk... let me just say... that was BIEBERTASTIC with some USHERMAZING! Yes, I went there! What did y'all think of it?

On to BEST POP VOCAL ALBUM!
Did you see how Russell Brand looked at Katy Perry when the camera was on her? PURE ENDEARMENT! Absolutely the cutest thing ever, even if he looks a little funny!

Lady Gaga JUST WON and her outfit is STRANGE, but that's totally normal! She thanked her manager, she thanked her sister, so many others. Those SUNGLASSES!
Lady Gaga during her thanks:
"I could be whoever I wanted to be and no matter what I visioned for myself, that I would do it no matter who didn't believe in me."

She thanked Whitney Houston, cuz she imagined that Whitney sang it when she wrote it, cuz she didn't think she was secure enough in her stardom to sing something like that. SO WRONG! That's a GAGA song... COMPLETELY!

LADY ANTEBELLUM... This is where you hear me say how much I love this band. I don't get to talk about them on the air, cuz they're country and not top 40... but they're top 40 in the book of Kelly. What an awesome band. They brought it tonight with an opening of "if you don't know me by now." LOVE, plus they WON for BEST COUNTRY ALBUM! I know what I'm talking about ;-)

okay... confession time... what's up with MILEY CYRUS showing side boob and a little flash of that ribcage tattoo? She needs to just go ahead and admit herself into rehab now... I see it coming. that's all about that now.

Jamie Foxx just introduced Cee Lo and Gwenyth Paltrow and it was hilarious. Can I just say this guy is "FUHH Get you awesome?" hahahahaha
Now for what I think... they've got Cee lo in a feather outfit at a piano, he looks like a fat drag queen at a piano with muppets... is this really happening or did I have too many glasses of wine? I know I didn't smoke any salvia tonight like miley... teehee OMG there are back-up muppet singers... this is probably one of my favorites! It's sooooooooo goofy! Gwenyth Paltrow needs to sing more songs like this cuz I'm thinking she really rocked it. Her saying ASS is hilarious or should I say HILARI-ASS! ok, now I'm getting goofy! She did a great job, and her sitting on the piano, but she should have stayed there instead of trying to dance on it... she looked like an awkward white girl trying to dance... not cool! Did Gwenny have a few drinks before this performance?????? either way, I LOVE IT!

ON A SIDE NOTE... did you see the TARGET commercial where the hairstylist burned the girls hair off? and then they went to a wig special at Target? I LOVED IT hahahaha laughed out loud!

KATY PERRY PERFORMANCE...
I love her outfit... White rhinestone hearts on her skirt? Can someone buy me that? This girl can sing. I heart her. And then out of nowhere they start lifting her up... could this beat Lady Gaga? OMG it's about her wedding with Russell Brand... Her skirt got lifted up and it's huge and it's the back drop for her wedding video marrying her hubby. I LOVE IT! Then they go into Teenage Dream and there are hearts everywhere "for the valentine lovers" It's like she just popped out of a russell stover chocolate box with all the hearts on stage! She makes me happy!

Norah Jones, John Mayer, Keith Urban??? WHAT? Jolene... Norah Jones looks amazing. Hair short... John Mayer, not so much, he looks like he just got admitted to rehab and Keith Urban always looks amazing to me. He's my favorite! :-) Bahaha Keith Urban didn't mean to and he just made a joke about John Mayer, saying that John had won for "daughters" and when he said it he said "and an award that John won for his daughters...everyone giggled... I would have too, he prob does have some illegitimate daughters somewhere! what? did I go there? lol

WHAT?! Seth Rogan just called Miley out for smoking! bahahahaha well he just made a joke about it, saying that he was in the back getting high with her! Pretty funny!

Rihanna, Eminem and Dr. Dre's performance!!!!
Did you see her dress? I LOVE IT! It's pretty hot!
Rihanna brought it and she looked great bringing it too! Eminem still gives me goosebumps. He came out singing in front of the flames and Rihanna got off her mini stage and walked towards the main stage, her dress is still amazing me. They are soooo good together and he even changed the words of the song! As Rihanna sings, Eminem walks around lipping her parts. Eminem's veins are huge p.s. just had to add that! Wow. This performance is one of my favorites. I know I have a lot of favorites, and people make fun of me for that, but this is good! And then, they bring out DR. DRE!!!! His first Grammy performance...
